The first chapter describes the assessment and rating progress and explains why all services should strive for continuous quality improvement, even if they have already achieved an ‘exceeding’ rating level. The following seven chapters cover each quality area, and include detailed guidance and strategies, planning guidelines, reflection questions and checklists
